A family business, in concrete since 1997
TGA is a family-run business. Husband, wife and sons all work in the business, each looking after a different part of the TGA group: mixer hire, concrete pumping and liquid screed floors.
Nearly 30 years of concrete
Our story starts in 1997. Tom was 21, had just passed his HGV test and went to work alongside his dad, driving his first mixer for what was then J. R. Allen & Son. The business has since grown into TGA, a group of specialist concrete services, but it has always stayed in the family.
In 2013 we put the first Mercedes-Benz Arocs mixer on the road in the UK. Arocs mixers have been the backbone of our fleet ever since, and our trucks have featured in four photo shoots for Mercedes-Benz in the UK and Germany.
Today the whole family is involved. Each of us runs a different part of the group, so whether you are hiring a mixer, booking a pump or pouring a screed floor, you are dealing with someone who owns the business and cares how the job goes.
We are based in Yaxley, just outside Peterborough. From there our trucks and pumps work across East Anglia, the Midlands, Essex, Hertfordshire and up into Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
Three services, one family
Each part of the group is run by a member of the family, and they work together. That means one phone call can often sort out the mixers, the pump and the floor.
